Our client is an online clothing brand looking to develop international sales via its own eCommerce website in Europe
Its headquarters are based in Los Angeles, California, USA and it employs around 200 people
To penetrate the European market, the company decided to invest heavily in user acquisition via Social Media platforms
The challenge
To be successful on Social Media, localisation of content, community management and social media activation must be in local languages
Europe boosts more than 24 different local official languages in the European Union only.
The company doesn’t have this type of talent in Los Angeles and needs to use costly agencies
The solution
To hire talent in Europe locally with local social media experience and languages
To cut down agency costs by building its own European marketing division

The Story
In 2022, our American partner decided to start recruitment locally, using a combination of internal recruitment capabilities, local agencies. The primary targets for employment of local talent were set with Croatia, Austria and the UK. Once the right new employees identified, Nomad Global Hire managed their onboarding and local hiring while making payroll easy for our American partner.
A couple of months after starting the project and depending on recruitment time from our American partner, we moved towards the second phase with new employees in Poland, Spain, Greece and Portugal which where successfully onboarded in less than 2 weeks locally thanks to our vetted network of local PEO partners.
In the space of 3 months we were able to create a Social Media Team of 10 employees in 7 main European markets for the expansion of the brand, managed directly by our Los Angeles based client but hired contractually locally in Europe through Nomad Global Hire PEO and EOR Services.
